A Solution for No Erasure Exams

When I was studying in the Philippines, I always hated No Pencils and No Erasure Exams. This was the solution:

Pilot Frixion Ball!

A breakthrough in writing technology has made available the erasable pen we have always been waiting for. These new pens from Pilot can be erased by FRICTION, they are like a magic pen! The pens have a special rubber end to rub the thermo sensitive ink away with, thus no eraser by-products are produced, yet the ink disappears magnificently (and the rubber never wears out!) The pen writes smoothly, in vibrant colors, and erases without a trace! Best of all, they are made of 76% recycled plastic.

Interestingly enough, the ink in these pens will actually reappear when the temperature reaches below – 10 C (under 14 Fahrenheit). A freezer is sufficiently cold enough to make the ink start to reappear. It is like a magic pen for adults!

Because the ink in this pen is thermo sensitive, it is not advise for it to be left in hot cars, used for mailing, or subjected to a condition that exposes it to a lot of friction.

P.S.

They are more expensive than G-tech :D

Crazy Planets Strategies

There are a number of medals that can be won in the game. Below is a listing of each medal that can be won and relevant strategies for winning them.

Boulder Removal
All you have to do to get this award is shoot a boulder on one of the boulder levels. The boulder will then roll over some enemies killing them. While this seems incredibly useful, few levels actually feature boulders making this little more then a novelty.

Lifesaving
This is the one of the easiest medals to get. All you have to do is finish one of the kidnapping missions (there is one per galaxy) without allowing the kidnapped friend to die. This means that you should be ready to keep the teammate to was kidnapped healed and out of harms way (if possible) once they are free. Alternatively, if you focus on the robots near the kidnapped friend first you can ensure that they are not freed until after all the robots are dead, though this does mean completing the mission with one fewer teammate.

Double Kill
This one is fairly easy to get, you just have to keep your eyes open for the right opportunities. Just watch for clustered enemies and focus on killing them with weapons that can damage multiple opponents. If they’re the same type of enemy they should die at the same time. Even if multiple shots are required.

Triple Kill
This medal is the same as the Double Kill medal. Though the opportunities for this tend to occur less often, since it takes a lot of enemies on a single board for them to be clustered close enough for this to work.

Oops
This is the easiest medal to get. You’ll probably get this one while you’re still learning how to play, due to either a misfired grenade or out of control rocket.

Long Way Round
The easiest way to get this one is to do one of the early missions solo. Just kill all but one of the enemies and then position yourself so that you meet the proper conditions for this medal. It can take a lot of time though, particularly if it’s an enemy that moves around a lot.

Flawless
These are easiest when done solo, but can be costly. Basically all you have to do is activate the shield ability and keep it up for the duration of the mission. If you’re positive you won’t be taking any damage during a round you can let it lapse but it is a gamble, because you can take damage from dying robots exploding parts which have a tendency to roll down hill. They don’t do enough damage to normally be concerned about, but unfortunately it’s enough to prevent you from getting this medal. On the plus side, because you spend the entire time invulnerable it is advantageous to stand right next to any robot you are attacking. This is because the robot can end up damaging themselves when attacking you. Additionally, other robots attempting to attack you can also end up damaging/destroying the robot you’re standing next to.

Grenades only
Because these medals exist, I highly recommend that your grenades are the 1st weapon you upgrade, as it will make getting these medals much, much easier. There are a few things to keep in mind about grenades.

— Not as much range - because they have a fairly short range you will need to get close to most enemies you use them on. This can make going after certain robots dangerous, so just be aware you may need to heal or shield yourself if you can’t find a safe position to lob from.
— Does not explode on impact - This can be as advantageous as it is annoying.
Because they do not explode until they come to rest there are two spots you will want to aim for in most cases; the robot’s head and the robot’s feet. The feet can often times be the easier target. Basically you will want it to land such that it will either land at their feet and not roll or land above the robot and roll down the hill to their feet. Conversely, because a robot’s head is flat, it is also possible to land grenades directly on top of a robot’s head. But this will only work if the grenade hits the head vertically during it’s downward arc. This unfortunately does not work on turrets though because their tops are not flat (grenades will bounce off instead). So instead you will have to land the grenade directly behind the turret in most cases, making them the most difficult enemy to kill with grenades. In any case, the closer the grenade is to an enemy the more damage it will do to the enemy.

Lazy
When going after this medal be very careful how you click on the screen as a single misclick (causing a unit to move) can foul up the attempt. This medal is also some what costly in terms of coins as you can’t acquire coins during the attempt and unlucky positioning can cause you to spend a lot on shields and healing.

Solo
This is one of the easier medals to get. All you have to do is remove everyone from your team and then accomplish the mission. While it may seem that you will be at a major disadvantage, keep in mind that only one robot will be able to act between each of your own actions. Additionally, no robot will get to act again until all of the other robots have acted. This means that you will often times be able to attack a single robot multiple times before it is able to fire back or even move. Additionally, if the board is sufficiently crowded some robots will destroy other robots by accident. This works to your favor because for all intents and purposes you are credited with any kills like this that occur (earning gems, exp. etc. for the kill)

5x Victory, 10x Victory, 20x Victory
These are pretty easy to get. Just beat the mission a bunch of times. It should be noted though that the mission will become slightly more difficult after you get each medal. That is there may be more/tougher enemies on attempt #6 that were not there on attempt #5. But in general unless you struggled on attempt #5, attempt #6 will only be marginally more challenging.

Boot Camp
The main trick to this is to get lucky and not have anybody die before they can act. After that point it’s much like doing the solo medal. The difference is that you need to make sure nobody dies. While this does mean you may not need to shield yourself, you will need to keep your level one “trainies” shielded, lest they will be taken out by a turret or powerful robot.

General Strategies
There are some tactics that I’ve found help on most any mission you’re doing and therefore don’t fall under any specific medal.

—Turrets are top priority – There are two reasons to go after turrets first. To begin with they do 50 damage per hit. This means that an unchecked turret can quickly reduce your team. However, they also have only 25 hp. This means that they can be taken out by anyone. Therefore you should take them out first because they represent a sizable threat that can be quickly eliminated
— Work together to kill robots – Unless it’s simply not practical to do so, you should concentrate your efforts. The more quickly you can kill off robots the less likely it is that one of your units will get killed.
—Save ineffective robots for last – If a robot doesn’t seem capable of hurting you, you should leave it alone for last. After all, whenever that robot shoots it’s a wasted round for the computer
— Use decoys – Robots will always attack whoever is closest. This means that you can get them to ignore your severely injured units, by simply moving an undamaged one near or on top of the robot in question. By splitting the damage amongst your units this way, you can extend the effectiveness of all units
